Sew your very own 'June convertible Bag' - a two day sewing course with Emma of Hole House Bags.
The June convertible is a practical bag that is perfect made in dry oilskin, canvas, tweed or a combination of fabrics. It has a super secure recessed zip top, a large outer pocket, reinforced base and clever webbing straps that can be converted to make your bag either a shoulder bag, a cross body bag or a backpack! The pattern will be available in two sizes.
Fabric Requirements: Please can participants bring the following:
● Half a metre main outer fabric
● Fat quarter of contrasting outer fabric for base and zip facing
● 3m webbing 32mm or 38mm
● 1m lining fabric (depending on pockets chosen)
You should also bring a sewing machine (with regular and zipper foot), scissors, pins and clips, thread, pen or pencil, ruler.
Suitable for intermediate sewers and adventurous beginners. Materials Cost : £25 pp payable to Emma on the day

Kindly note there will be a materials charge payable directly to Emma on the day, approx £25. Typically this course runs with around 6-7 students.

About the tutor : Anyone who loves textiles and handbags will already know Emma Redfern's very popular 'Hole House' facebook page, bag making page, and website from where she sells her wonderfully original, unique and quirky bags. With a background in art history and an interest in the Victorian Arts and Crafts movement, Emma believes that anyone can produce something beautiful and useful, given a little instruction and some inspiring fabric.
Living just a few miles away from Greystoke, in Cumbria's lovely northern fells, we're delighted to be welcoming Emma back to Quirky Workshops once more.
